All good things must come to an end, Or do they?

May has been a busy month in my creative world!  I'm so thankful that I am able to spend time doing what I enjoy.  Sewing is so much more than a hobby for me.  It is a creative outlet that I look forward too as much as I am able.
I had the honor of testing several patterns a couple of which have been released and I'm so happy to share them!

First up is the Sue's Delight Hobo Bag by designer Avanell Savage of Avie's Creations.  This is Avanell's Debut Handbag Pattern and it is a beauty!
This wonderful bag features a top zipper closure, with two front slip pockets and a stylish back exterior zipper pocket.  Two interior slip pockets and an interior zip pocket.  The strap is adjustable to be worn on the shoulder or crossbody.  The finished size is 10" high at the center curve by 11.5" wide and 5.75" deep.

Next up is a fun Denim skirt pattern.  I know what you are thinking, WHAT??? it has pockets!  Anyone that knows me knows that I don't care for pockets in my dresses or skirts.  Don't come for me ๐Ÿ˜Š, just my personal preference.  This skirt is so adorable and the pockets add a great touch.  They are not inseam pockets so they don't add any bulk to the garment.  The construction on this skirt is so creative and goes together beautifully.
Designer Ann Grose of the company Designer stitch adds a couture flair to her patterns and I love testing her garments.  I learn something new every time I make one of her lovely patterns.  I love that this skirt can be made out of different fabrics denim and medium weight woven fabrics.  It is best to use a fabric without a busy print in order to show off the lovely top stitching.  The optional tie is so cute!
Last but not least is a very special set that was made using a custom print from Blended Thread Fabrics.  The fabric for the infinity scarf is the softest Bamboo ever!  I made this set to add to my Etsy shop.  I have some more fabric in different prints on order and I cannot wait to see how they turn out.  This is a new company to me and so far I am very pleased with the quality of the fabric.  The owner and her husband design the prints which are amazing.  They also have guest designers and artists that contribute.

I hope you have enjoyed my makes and I cannot wait to see what June brings.

Me Made May

It seems quite fitting that the last time I updated my blog was Me Made May 2019. Alot has happened over the past year and while I won't bore you with the details I would love to share some of the projects I have completed.
I have enjoyed creating some commissioned pieces along with some wonderful opportunities to test patterns for designers!
We are wrapping up the third full week of Me Made May and I have been quite busy!

Custom Bowler Bag that was increased from it's original size. I used French Calf leather for the bottom. Grain leather was quilted for the cream color. Gold hardware was requested. I created a slimline wallet and a toiletry pouch to complete the set.

This was a set that was gifted from a mother to her daughter for her birthday.  She requested a longer adjustable strap and a zipper on the back of the bag.  The sea turtle fabric is so pretty!
I included a mini necessary clutch wallet and a toiletry pouch.

Of course I couldn't forget the masks.  I have had requests for the ones that tie and elastic.

Twist knot headbands.  We included some of these in the Mothers Day gift baskets.

I really hope you have enjoyed my creations! Stay tuned for more updates including new garments that are itching to make their debut!
Stay well friends!
